Still more latest news from members

Kersti Cull has three poems, "Peacock in Flight", "About the Pear" and "Wind", in the recently released Royal City Poets anthology., organized by New Westminster's Poet Laureate Candice James and published by Silver Bow Publishing. Also appearing in the anthology is BWS member Franci Louann.

Dorothy Stott has won third prize in the Ontario Poetry Society’s 'To Rhyme or not to Rhyme' poetry contest, open to all poets across Canada. Dorothy also sends news of her second chapbook, due out this month and published by Beret Days Press and The Ontario Poetry Society in their A Stanza Break Series.

Sandy Hunter, writing as S.A. Hunter, has a dark fantasy story "And the Coyotes Sang" in the Spinetingler Anthology 2011. 


Bernice Lever reads on February  4 with the World Poets at the Richmond Cultural Centre as the launch of a monthly series in Richmond, BC. The event runs from 2:30 - 4:30 pm with multi-cultural speakers and musicians. March 15, 7 pm at North Vancouver Public Library, 14th and Lonsdale,  Bernice gives a one hour poetry reading in library's  free and new Local Author Series. Refreshments/ book signings start at 6:30 pm.

 John Joyce has a new article, "Humour is a Funny Thing" in Writing Raw.

On Saturday, March 10 Bernice will speak at a workshop sponsored by :Friesen Press : GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS FOR WRITERS ~ How to organize and approach writing and self-publishing as a business.
