Our Spoken INK December 11 guest


Alison Acheson lives in Ladner, with three sons, a guiter-teacher spouse, and an old rescue dog named Rocky. She teaches writing, working with writers of all ages, from 7 year old homeschoolers to grad students. Her YA novel Mud Girl (Coteau Books) was a finalist for the Canadian Library Association YA Book of the Year, and the picturebook, Grandpa’s Music (Albert Whitman & Co.) has been chosen for the IBBY List for children living with a disability (Alzheimer's). Her most recent, an early reader, The Cul-de-Sac Kids garnered a spot on the Book Week Tour (Canadian Children’s Book Centre and TD Bank) this past May, touring Ontario, from Ottawa to far-north Kapuskasing...where it was -6 degrees on May 11.
