Spoken INK is a reading series presented by the Burnaby Writers' Society on the third Tuesday of each month (except July and August). First 2012 dates: January 17 and February 21.

Open mic sign-up is at 7:30 p.m., for an 8:00 p.m. start, at the La Fontana Caffe, 101-3701 East Hastings in North Burnaby (NE corner of Boundary and Hastings).
Our featured reader for January is Raoul Fernandes
Raoul lives and writes in Vancouver, B.C. His poems have been previously published in Poetry is Dead and Event Magazine, and he has poems forthcoming in Contemporary Verse 2. He won a Sakura Award in the 2010 Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and, that same year, was a finalist for the Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers. .
