SPOKEN Ink October reading

Tuesday October 20th -- Spoken INK presents An Evening with Three Authors!

At 7:30 PM (sign-up time) on Tuesday, October 20, Spoken INK presents C. June Wolf, Addena Sumter-Freitag, and Eileen Kernaghan, who will read from their recent Wattle and Daub Books releases at the James Street Café (3819 Canada Way, at Smith -- one short block east of Boundary Road) in Burnaby.

C. June (Casey) Wolf’s Finding Creatures & Other Stories is a collection of literary speculative fiction. Author Phyllis Gotlieb says, “Wolf’s subtly written stories succeed in being both shadowy and powerful.”

Back in the Days is a collection of poetry and creative non-fiction by Addena Sumter-Freitag. Of Sumter-Freitag, David Chariandy says, “She is one of those rare and revered storytellers who compel you instantly to listen up and pay respect.”

Eileen Kernaghan’s Tales from the Holograph Woods is a collection of speculative poetry. Mary E. Choo says of Kernaghan, “Her unmistakable voice provides a subtle, unifying under-note that runs throughout this diverse collection.”

Spoken INK is the public reading series brought to you by the Burnaby Writers’ Society. Our open mic café happens every third Tuesday (September to June) and sign-up time is 7:30 PM at the James Street Café, just one short block east of Boundary Road on Canada Way at Smith (NE corner) in Burnaby. Come for a coffee & dessert -- stay for a listen! For more information, contact bwscafe@gmail.com or visit www.BurnabyWritersNews.blogspot.com.
